In today's information-overloaded society and times, we need opinion leaders more than ever. In the same way that festivals act as such, film critics help potential spectators to be able to choose. Although there is also an excess of critics, sometimes not as rigorous as desirable, spectators can find those critics of interest to them. I believe that nowadays film criticism is more necessary than ever.
